Upcoming class

It's November, so it's time to start preparing your Christmas gifts. What doe you give a family member that has everything? My mother in law and my mom just have it all, and every year, it's a challenge to know what to get them. In the most recent years, I've been using my creativity to make cute family photo albums. This year I was inspired by my mixed-media classes.

In preparing my November class, I was at a loss for ideas, one student asked for a tree... As they say, the night can bring inspiration so I woke up the next morning and had this little project in mind.

So Melissa the store owner had bough some sets of lights, they were just perfect to add to this project. Simple to use, I attached the battery pack at the back, pierced the canvas and then started fixing the lights to canvas. Here is a sneak peak of what it looks like when lit:

So if you are in the Montreal area and want to join in on my class, feel free to join me at Passion Collimagination in Laprairie on November 26th.

Hope you can come join the fun !

Family, time well spent

Family memories, this is what I love the most about Scrapbooking, it's all about taking the time to highlight our many family moments. Last year we went on a family trip to Boston and we enjoyed a great meal in a Mexican restaurant. We had fun with the pictures by pretending the boys were having beers.
My inspiration for this page came from the sketch challenge at Scrapaux puces. I had fun playing with my new papers from 7 dots studio and added gelatos to the background to highlight the colors in the pictures. I love working with the gelatos, the colors are so rich and how they blend is just magical.

Again, a perfect touch to my page, my friend Caroline's badge @Cutz2Luv.

Here is the sketch that was proposed for the challenge:

Oh how I enjoy the time with my family... Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful day.

Trick or Treat

Ok so I am mentally preparing for my oldest son to turn 18 at the end of the month and let's just says I can't believe how fast time has passed. So of course, I am going through some old photo albums, trying to believe they were once my babies. Found this perfect 1st Halloween picture that I just had to add to my lot of scrapbook pages.

SO I actually had tons of old craft paper and halloween stuff lying around in my stash. I can't even remember when I purchased most of this stuff, but at some point it's got to get used so I dove in.

The paper collection is from My Mind's eye and dates back to 2009 (don't say it, I know I am a scrapbooking hoarder). Some embelishements are from Little Yellow Bicycle, flowers from Prima. Probable the only thing you can get in 2015 is the Cuts2Luv button & the Creative embellishment die-cut.

Here is a closer look at the Cuts2Luv button (it's so cute) and the Creative Embelishment die-cut #CUTE:

I am including this page in this month's Creative Embelishment's challenge. Now they are saking, what was the inspiration form their challenge, my response is simple: The colors & the pumpkin in the image.

I am aslo including this page for the Scrapauxpuces October moodboard Challenge, here it is:

To add a touch of shimmer, I added some touches of the Prima Finnabair Texture Paste, Loved how it came out. I added it over my Creative Embellishment #cute and also directly on my paper. First time using and and I can't wait to use it again. Just sold to the Finnabair line.

Ok, now off to new projects, wishing you a great day!

Cuts2Luv October challenge

It's official, I am out of my scrapbooking crafty funk. After many months of avoiding my paper crafts, I have started playing around in my craft room again. It felt good.

So to get me going, a challenge is always good, here is this months challenge at Cuts2Luv.

On my part I was inspired by the color combo and the sketch.

This picture was taken at the Universal Studios Harry Potter park, it's with the driver of the Magical bus. What can I say, I am a die hard Harry Potter fan.

Here is the combo challenge file:

Have a great day !!!

Inspiration Wednesday Week 4

Ok yes, it's been many many months since my last post. I truly have not only neglected my blog but also my art. Guess I needed a break from my dirty fingers. With fall back I just found new inspiration and just looked into my Inspiration Workshop videos for inspiration.

I have this wonderful stamp and I just love this saying. It felt perfect for this pensive image.

Now the best part of the project... My dirty fingers.... It felt great being back into my craftroom.

So.. what has been your inspiration lately !

Challenge YOUrself May challenge

Time for another fun challenge with a sketch this month at the Challenge YOUrself blog.

I loved the sketch, it was so easy to find inspiration for this page. I used a few picture of our vacation last summer at the Universal Studios new Harry Potter park. It was just amazing.

Time for another beautiful moodboard challenge with Cuts2Luv

Recently we had a photoshoot at the office and the profits were going to a charity that we support Centraide. Our photographer was a friend of mine Eric Vidal. He did a wonderful session for many employees and I truly love my new pictures. This is a recent passion for him, and if you want to see his beautiful work, I invite you to check out his website: Eric Vidal

For my challenge, I decided to use:
