Fantasy & Wings for More Than Words

I am living the dream of visiting my FANTASY land this month with our More Than Words challenge.

Oh what fun did I have with this one. I've had this amazing funky flower stamp set in my stash just waiting for me to play around with. They were just perfect to create my imaginary FANTASY world as I would of course be the Queen Fairy in my world and you know, all Queen Fairies have huge WINGS.

Here is my watercolor project:

I used Strathmore 12x 12 watercolor paper, started my background by stamping my flowers with Archival ink. Then colored with my elements with watercolors.

For my Fairy, I used a Dina Wakely Stamp and added chipboard wings that I covered in black gesso and altered with my Prima Finnabair Waxes.

Trésor for Lindy's January Challenge

As you can see, I am enjoying making baby layouts for some of my friends, oh how they are so cute and adorable, I am not able to resist having fun crafty such yummy pics.

I almost wish I could turn back time and get great pics like this of my sons.

Future & Stars -November More Than Words challenge

Collect Beautiful Moments, one of my dream destination, Northern Canada to see the Northern Lights.

FUTURE: As you know, I LOVE to travel, it is probably one of my biggest motivation to keep me working, guess I need the money to travel so it's my daily motivation. I have quite a huge bucket list of places to go, but this one is probably the one that I do not know when I will go, but I do dream of going one day, up to Northern Canada to see the Northern Lights. What's stopping me right now you must say... Well it's cold up there. haha.

STARS: When I hear stars, I think of the sky, then it makes me think of this beautiful Northern skyline with the amazing colors that they get. I can't even imagine how beautiful it must be to see this live. Foe the Star part of my challenge, I opted to use some mistable stars from Studio Calico that I had in my stash. I colored them with my Lindy's inks.

I wanted to reproduce on my background, the beautiful colors of the sky, so I played with my stencils and inks to build my background.

As you can see, the stars give a nice contrast or complement this mixed-media background:

Added a few sequins to highlight the brightness of the stars. I also added a big world map chipboard that I covered in white gesso and again gave it a water color effect with the Lindy's inks.

Colors used are: Mad Hatter Mint, Azure Sea Asters, Prima Donna Purple & Witch's Potion Purple

Est-ce que vous avez eu l'occasion de vous amuser avec le magnifique tableau d'inspiration? Il n'est pas trop tard.

Avec mon retour de vacance, j'en ai profiter pour faire une page thématique plaisir avec une de nos belles photos de voyage.

Le badge capteur de rêve est PARFAIT pour ce voyage de rêve. Lors de nos multiples location, ce condo dans la ville La Spezia était féérique. Un beau balcon avec la vue sur la mer était tellement un bel endroit pour prendre un petit verre de vino.

Leisure & Splatters for More Than Words

It's October already and the More Than Words team are excited to bring you another fun challenge.

This month: Leisure & Splatters

With the boys now older, we are finding more time to go explore the area with our bikes. It's a fantastic LEISURE that we are truly enjoying. Spending time every weekend together is truly fun.

For the SPLATTERS part of the challenge, I played with inks and gesso splatters on my background.

I was also able to add the word Leisure to my layout.

I like the effect of the gesso splatters on the chipboard:
