Bon matin, en ce beau mois de Novembre, je vous présente un défi inspiration Pub.   La pub est celle d'un voyage, la consigne est de fair eun e page avec une photo de voyage, nous dire c'est ou et ce que vous avez aimé du voyage.   Voici la Pub:  

    Pour ma page, j'ai prise une photo du tram 28 de Lisbon au Portugal, j'ai tombé sous le charme de cette ville avec ses rues étroites lors de notre visite à bord de ce tram.   Nous avons eu des journées grises et couverte de nuage, alors ce papier était juste parfait pour ma page.

Magic School

Oh my a scrapbooking challenge with a subtil touch of Harry Potter, of course I have to look into this. Marina Syskova from 7 dots studio is setting up a project called Magic School. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that google translate will be my friend and translate well the required challenges from Russian to either English or French. Anyways, I think I'll give this a try.   For the 13@arts products I used my clear and white Gesso as the foundation of my page.   Other products: Badges from Cuts2Luv, sticker from Tim Holtz, flowers fromWild Orchid Crafts and die-cuts that were sent by a friend.   Thanks for the inspiration !  

Happy Birthday Mom !

Happy Birthday Mom !   Last august as a pre-birthday gift, I took her to Las Vegas... Just the two of us. Now if you have not noticed, most of my pages are with pictures of Las Vegas, because I am building her a 12 x 12 album as her last gift.   Here are a few more pages that I've done during the online challenge at Scrap Aux Puces. We were asked to scraplift pages of other talented girls that I've gottent to know because of our shared passion for Scrapbooking.   Scraplift of Missourie (aka Daisy): Las Vegas at night....

Lindy's Stamp Gang October challenge

It's a fall inspired color board this month at Lindy's Stamp Gang. What a beautiful board:  

  I had this beautiful picture of the Venetian shopping center gondola ride that had just the perfect color to work with. Added bonus that it fits well in the album that I am making for my mom .  

 

Here is the step by step on how I built my page:

  First, I started my page by embossing a series of butteflies, letters and shapes with the Lindy's Embossing powders:  

 

Then I added a touch of color with my sprays:

 

 

I like the effect of the drops of sprays, then I added some rub-ons to increase the tone-on-tone effect.

 

Started to add my elements, an embossed flowe, die-cuts, flowers and my Cuts2Luv badges.

Life is better when you are laughing

I am in full perparation mode for my mom's birthday gift...   In August, I took my mom on a vacation, just the two of us. I asked her what she wanted and she mentionned that she'd love to go back to Vegas. So off we went...   As part of my gift, I am making her a Las Vegas 12 x 12 album of some of my favorite pictures and moments of our trip. For this page, I was inspired by two challenges :   More than Words and Cuts2Luv.  

  Let's start with More than Words : Ombre and Change   For the Ombre part of the challenge, I chose to focus on different hues of green on my page, I love the softness it gave the page. I rarely use black and white pictures, but I truly like how it all came together.   For the change part of the challenge, well there are many for this page. First let's use my mom's birthday... Turning 70 is a big thing for her, and with my dad being gone, she's been feeling a bit alone. This "Just the two of us" trip was a perfect way to make her feel special. My change was taking the time to give my mom some dedicated time, balancing work, family and day to day often does not give me much free time, so it was fun to be just us girls for a few days. It was the first trip that we've ever taken just the two of us, and if I am lucky, I'll get the chance to do this again someday.   Here is the beautiful inspiration board: And the link to the October challenge: Change & Ombre   ***********************************   My second entry is for the October challenge at Cuts2Luv, here is the gorgeous moodboard:   If I had on-hand different shades of purple flowers, I would have used that color scheme, but I just have 1 or 2, so it was just easier to go with the green colors... Maybe next time... (Now I need to order more purple flowers...)
