18 Years ago

Wow, how time flies, it was 18 years ago today that I married, my loving husband. It does not feel like that long ago, but it must since my kids are now 17 & going on 16... We got married in Jamaica, a small intimate wedding, but before that, we had a party with friends and family at our house, a pool party pre-wedding event. Of course, it was really hot that day, no shade whatsoever. Also If you knew both our families, you would know we expected that anything could happen... and it did. We were served up to a mock wedding were my brother in law acted as the priest and both Serge and I got dressed up to flavor of the moment. I was wearing a bikini, and was given my aunt Lynn's vail, it was 6 feet long, I am only 5 feet high. They also put piece of ribbon on my hands and legs, and made a Sharpie tattoo on my leg that said Foxy Lady. Serge was also well suited for the event, wearing neon spandex shorts, a tie & hat and tattooed as well. So the mock wedding was not enough, the family decided that they wanted to parade us around our street... Oh yes, I wanted to sell the house the next day. Well, I guess that was the price to pay for not inviting everyone to Jamaica. So here is a page that I just did for a challenge on Scrap aux puce forum.

Défi novembre Douze par Douze

Une beau défi ce mois-ci par l'équipe Douze par Douze Soit une page inspiré du logo de la cie Cuts2Luv... Le défi: -Avoir un minimum de 2 découpes: le mot ART (KesiArt) et Love Street (fait à la main) -Avoir des chevrons : Fond Jaune Mixed-Media -Combinaison des couleurs : Jaune, Blanc, Noir & Gris: Check ! -Un Badge: J'en ai 2 donc un de la collection Cuts2Luv -Le mot Amour, Love ou Luv: J'ai mis Love J'avais cette photo de mon voyage à Barcelone il y a 3 ans qui dormait dans mes tiroirs. Lorsque j'ai vue les couleurs du défi, je me suis dit qu'elle était parfaite pour ce défi... C'est une photo d'une porte de garage peint d'un style grafiti. Si vous allez vous promener dans la vieille section de Barcelone, il y en a plein de ces belle portes tous avec des cachets différents. J'adore !

CSI Case file s365-8 Princess

Oh it is grey outside with some spouts of rain, a perfect day to spend in my craftroom. Looking at the challenges that CSI had, I looked at the case file s365-8 and all of a sudden, I was reminded of this old picture of myself when I was about 5 years old. I thought, wow this is the perfect picture for this challenge. I have always loved this picture, granted we had the bas hair cut of the BOWL look back then, but that was the fashion trend at the time. I Loved this red polka dot outfit that my mom had gotten. I was never a fan of dresses so pant suites I loved. This months challenge had a wonderful color selection of white, beige, turquoise & red. How could I resist. Hope you enjoy my take on the challenge... 

I rarely use my flowers anymore since I have been playing in the mixed-media world, but I felt they were just a perfect fit for this page. Here is a closer look:

So my evidence for this challenge: Polka dot paper & dress on the picture, chevron paper, clouds for my testimonial, mushrooms, flowers and circles. Testimony about a childhood memory, well I focused on my character traits when I was young.  I was:  1- Always asking questions 2-  Liked trying new things 3- Bilingual at a young age 4-Creative 5-Always smiling So if you want to join the fun, here is the case file:

Crop en ligne Scrap aux Puces

J'avoue que je suis chanceuse ces derniers temps, j'ai un peu de temps libre, et plein de belles sources d'inspiration pour mes pages de scrapbooking. Que des heures de plaisir dans mon atelier de scrap.
La gagne chez Scrap aux puces ont un crop en ligne full inspirant. Voici quelques unes de mes pages depuis dimanche.
Défi page Facebook:  Le défi est de faire une page qui s'inspire de notre page Facebook. Pour celles qui sont amies avec moi sur Facebook, vous êtes au courant que cette dernière fin de semaine fut la marche pour la levée de fond pour le cancer du sang. C'est la 2e année que je fais la marche avec mon amie Carmen qui est survivante d'une Leucémie Myéloide aigüe. Elle est vivante grâce a une transplantation de moelle. C'est une cause qui m'est cher, car j'ai 1 autre ami qui a eu ce cancer et 1 ami d'enfance qui est décédé d'une Leucémie a 21 ans. Ma page actuelle est représentative de ma réalité ces dernières semaines.

CSI Case File No 144- Disney Magic

So yes, another Disney page, what can I say other than well... we were there again this year, and yes I have tons of beautiful pictures that still need to be memorized... This new color challenge at CSI were just perfect for this night picture of the Magic Kingdom Castle. Over the years, we have seen many firework shows, but I have to say that my absolute favorite is this one. The light show on the castle combined with the music and the fireworks makes it so... Magical... My evidence for this page: Watercolor background, polka dots, stripes, triangles & phrase sticker My Testimony: We were required to use words in a question format, so my question is the following: Is there no LIMIT to the Magical Moments at Disney?
