Thinking of you Tag for Creative Embellishments

There are moments in your life where you feel a bit helpless. Recently I learned that one of my best friend's daughter is battling Osteosarcoma. They live far away, it is not possible for me to be there, but I wanted to find a way to show my support. Hospital rooms are boring so I chose to make this huge tag to brighten up her day and add a touch decor at the same time. That way she will know that I am thinking about her everyday.

If you've not seen the huge tags in the store yet, you are missing out on a cool product.

I started by covering my tag with a turquoise background paper. Then I wanted to add texture. I had this sheet of Prima embossed tissue paper that I sprayed with my Lindy's Stamp gang spray Baby Blue Eyes: 

Under this paper I added a layer of thick cardboard to add dimension and some straw for fine texture.

Then I played with my chipboard and embossing powders. The fairy I embossed in 2 colors, the clocks in gold and left the leaves and title natural color.

Once my ornaments are set-up I like to finish with some touches of Gesso on my flowers and drops of Gesso over some segments of the project, you can see it if you look at my floral chipboard on this picture:

In my Heart for Creative Embellishments

Family pictures are always a wonderful source of inspiration. For this page, I am making a surprise album for my niece who is pregnant with her second child. They are expecting a son. I Love this picture of her, her husband and their lovely Emma. So much love in this one. I wanted to capture the element of time and love, because I believe that they represent well this experience.

My time element on my page is this beautiful 4 inch clock chipboard. The second element is the Heart Frame. I used white heat embossed for all my chipies.

Plage for Creative Embellishments

Hi everyone, France here with you today, and I am having fun playing with the new french chippies. It's the summer, so beach pages are my go to place at the moment. Let me walk thru my process to build this page:

I often use patterned papers to start my backgrounds, for this page I used a background from 7 Dots studio. A critical part is always to add clear gesso first. This helps if you ever want to add layers of mixed-media. I started by mixing this chalk paint with Light & Fluffy Modeling paste. I like this modeling paste because it dries rapidly and I like to work fast.

I used the following 2 stencils for my page (background & tag):

I heat embossed with with both my clock & title chipboard. I love how the white stands out on the light colored background:

On this part, I wanted to add texture, so I added some Prima beads that I colored with my Lindy's inks. I love the beachy feel they give:

Vous connaissez les Alpagas? Mon amie Marie-France en fait élévage et chaque année nous lui donnons un coup de pouce avec la tonte. Ils ont une laine tellement douce que j'adore.
Je vous présente ma page avec le beau Diego, lorsqu'il était bébé. 

Pour ma page, j'ai choisi un beau papier de la collection Happy Accident de Blue Fern Studios. J'ai ajouter des touches de couelurs avec mes spray Lindy's ainsi que des touches d'embossage avec une étampe de Creative Embellishments.

Celebrate - July 1st Creative Embellishment challenge
