It's grey outside, our leaves are falling and I miss the summer weather, so just felt like capturing a good memory of our trip to Riviera Maya on paper today. A beautiful sketch by Creative Scrappers was the inspiration. Here is my interpretation of the sketch:

Oooh just love the bright colors of this case at CSI #142.
Here is my take on it:

A very old picture, making this layout took me back in time. The boys were 3-4 on this... They are 15 & 16 now... A great picture taken when we visited family. Hope you enjoy my page, and here is the case file if you want to join in on the fun.

Crop Lucky 7 Factory- Last call

So it is with great sadness thatthe Lucky 7 Factory will be officially closing at the end of the year. Again we are losing one of the independant local business for Scrapbooking supplies. I have been lucky to have been part of the Design Team for the last 2 years. Yesterday we had our last crop in St-Jean sur Richelieu with a few friends. 
I did a few pieces, but I want to share 2 of them with you today.
1st was the Scraplift challenge of a page done byAudrey De Grand Maison. I loved her sketch and respected it, I mainly played on a change of the colors. 

2nd we were given a 30 minute challenge to create a page with adding an element that was given randomly. I received the camera image that I had to incorporate. I used this picture of my husband during our Mexican vacation, cut up some tags from a page and love how it finished.

Putting the learnings into practice

So yes, I am still on my high from my Dina Wakley classes... still addicted to my Art Journal and playing with the color theories taught by Dina.

So the 100 faces challenge is coming along. I am enjoying the learning process and seeing progress with everyone I am making. Si here are my most recent pieces... 14-15 & 16...

Wow. who knew I would be enjoying this so much... So if you are tired of seeing so many faces, you can blame Dina Wakley, it's her fault.. LOL

Colors class with Dina Wakley

Our class last sunday was based on colors... Learning the basics, learning how to combine and coordinate colors. Dina does cover this in her first book, but Live with her was much better.
