Albert Einstein for 7 Dots Studio and Lindy's blog challenges

Hi everyone, I've been loving the inspiration that I am getting when I look at many online challenges.

For this page, I was inspired by the following 2 blog challenges :

&

For my page, I chose Albert Einstein, I like many of his quotes, especially this one. I believe that he must have been someone quite special and so open minded. I always like to try new things and sometimes trial by error is the best way to learn. That is why I chose him, because in my Scrapbooking, that is what I like to do... TRY new things.

The Tim Holtz quote: Today is full of possibilities is one that I felt fit well with Albert Einstein's character.

Making a beautiful page is often easier when you love the paper collection. I used this 7 dots paper to start. Then I added some stenciling work in numbers and lines with embossing paste & gesso. I felt that those 2 stencils sent well with the picture. Then I wanted to add more texture and added microbeads with gel medium.

I heat embossed the chipboard with Lindy's embossing powder.

I added some touches of colors with the Lindy's sprays:

The Orange color of the Lindy's color combo is defined by the rusted metal gears. Again, I felt that they were perfect for this Albert Einstein page.

Here is the inspiration wheel from 7 Dots studio, the DT did awesome work.

Here is the color combo for the Lindy's challenge:

Products used are:

7 Dots studio paper
Tim Holtz words & stencils
Finnabair gears & microbeads
Clear & Black Gesso
Creative Embellishments chipboard
Cuts2luv flair

Thanks for stopping by, I wish you a wonderful crafty day !

Vacances

It's a rainy May so far in Canada, so perfect weather to get crafty. I started this page yesterday during National Scrapbooking day, I hope that many of you had the chance to play with your craft supplies yesterday.

I am in the need of sun, so I took out one of our beautiful family pictures from last summer's vacation in beautiful Cuba.

I love this picture with my boys, I am blessed that they are so kind and gentle. I am proud of the young men they have become. As a mother, I've been quite blessed. So happy that we are close and even as young adults, they still enjoy spending time with us as a family and I cherish every moment.
My inspiration for this page came from More than Words and Altenew challenges:
MORE THAN WORDS challenge: HERE
Image may contain: 1 person, flower and text
MOTHER: For this project, I feel blessed to be a mom, so I wanted to use a picture of myself with my boys.As they get older, I know these moments of spending time with them on vacation will be fewer, it's the fact of life, so I truly want to ensure I enjoy every moment that I have with them.
FLOWERS: Fot this part, I chose to color some stamps from Altenew. I find the process of coloring and cutting our my stamps so relaxing and I love the look they give my pages.

Second challenge entry is at Altenew: May Inspiration challenge
Here are a few pics of my water-colored flowers:

May project for Creative Embellishments

Life was meant for a great ADVENTURE
Love this quote from my Tim Holtz stamps collection. I was so inspired by the challenge this month. Once I saw it, I just felt like playing with my stencils, inks and stamps sets.

I started my background by using my distress inks (Barn Door & Looking Glass) thru a chevron stencil, the I started to add some stamping with the same colors and also added some in Archival black. I wanted the background to have the sames colors as my pictures and to make it fun and lively.

Next step, I used this beautiful chipboard scribble frame that I cut in half and covered with acrylic paint. I have to say that this frame has become one of my most recent favorites.

Here is another angle to see the stamping and frame

Bonne Fête Gabriel

Bonne fête à mon BÉBÉ qui a maintenant 18 ans !!!
