Dream

Today was my day to relax since I've been under the weather these last few days. Nothing better to get the creativity going than blog challenges.

Here is my page of the day... DREAM

I enjoy making my backgrounds, on this one I used Cotton Candy Pink by Lindy's.

I like making clusters of ornaments mixing flairs, metal, die-cuts and flowers. This flair from Cuts2luv was just perfect for this page. Emma is truly a beauty in her own way.

Light stamping with grey adds additional depth to this layout

The Title and text all focus on the word DREAM

I am entering this layout in the following blog challenges:

From this moodboard I was inspired by the sketch, the title, the clustering and finishing touches of white Gesso for texture.

From this moodboard, I was inspired by the deer, the heart, and the colors.

Hush Little Baby pour Cuts2luv & Mixed Media & Art

Doux Moment for Cuts2luv & challenge entry

Good morning everyone, it's my turn on the Cuts2luv blog today. For this page I was inspired by 2 blog challenges, here are the challenge links:

To build my page, I played with my Lindy's Stamp gang sprays and embossing powders. I used 2 colors of embossing powder to create the Ombre effect on my Cuts2luv chipboard:

This Cuts2luv mandala flair hand drawn by my friend Valerie Ouellet had the perfect colors and design for this page. Clustered with flowers, sequins and Prima Art Stone, the flair gives a wonderful decorative element to my page:

For Mixed Media & Art challenge, I was inspired by the Secrets Sketch, the color combination of the images and the Bohemian feel I captured in the usage of the flair and multi colored embossed stencil work.

For Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo the word JOURNEY. I believe that pregnancies are one of the biggest journeys that we can take in our lifetime. I love this beautiful picture of my darling niece, getting a kiss from her daughter and he husband kissing her belly while they wait for the arrival of their son.

Here are the inspiration images for the challenges:

Explore for Creative Embellishments & Mixed Media & Art challenge

Hi everyone, I hope you are enjoying your summer and have had some time to play in the pool, visit a lake or my favorite go to the Beach.

With my teens, it is getting harder to get them to pose for pictures now, so I've been having fun looking at old vacation pictures. About 8 years ago, we went to Virginia Beach and the waves were super high. I have this beautiful picture of my boys and my husband daring to go into the waves. I thought it would make an awesome layout.

This 7 Dots Studio paper I felt was perfect for a beach themed page. I started by adding some layers of details with stencils (Anchor, letters & lines). I love the texture it gives to the back of the page.
I covered my chipboard with black gesso, then played with my Finnabair Waxes. I just love how simple they are to use and the details that it can bring. I played with 4 colors (Metallic wax Brushed Iron & White Gold, Antique Brilliance Mystic Turquoise and Opal Magic Wax Turquoise Satin) You can see the details of the waxed on my close up pictures below, my favorite is the seahorse, it came out perfectly.
I added some sequins to give it some light:
On the grunge frame, I only played with the Brushed Iron:
For added texture I included some paper die-cut greens, some straw and cotton cheese:

Now there is this wonderful monthly challenge over on the Mixed Media & Art blog. I am taking the opportunity to make this my first participation in those challenges.

Challenge board

Now I did not have turtles on hand, but the seahorses I believe would qualify in this challenge as well as the blue altering of the chipboards.

I hope you like my take on your challenge !

I wish everyone a wonderful day !
