Life is better when you are laughing

I am in full perparation mode for my mom's birthday gift...   In August, I took my mom on a vacation, just the two of us. I asked her what she wanted and she mentionned that she'd love to go back to Vegas. So off we went...   As part of my gift, I am making her a Las Vegas 12 x 12 album of some of my favorite pictures and moments of our trip. For this page, I was inspired by two challenges :   More than Words and Cuts2Luv.  

  Let's start with More than Words : Ombre and Change   For the Ombre part of the challenge, I chose to focus on different hues of green on my page, I love the softness it gave the page. I rarely use black and white pictures, but I truly like how it all came together.   For the change part of the challenge, well there are many for this page. First let's use my mom's birthday... Turning 70 is a big thing for her, and with my dad being gone, she's been feeling a bit alone. This "Just the two of us" trip was a perfect way to make her feel special. My change was taking the time to give my mom some dedicated time, balancing work, family and day to day often does not give me much free time, so it was fun to be just us girls for a few days. It was the first trip that we've ever taken just the two of us, and if I am lucky, I'll get the chance to do this again someday.   Here is the beautiful inspiration board: And the link to the October challenge: Change & Ombre   ***********************************   My second entry is for the October challenge at Cuts2Luv, here is the gorgeous moodboard:   If I had on-hand different shades of purple flowers, I would have used that color scheme, but I just have 1 or 2, so it was just easier to go with the green colors... Maybe next time... (Now I need to order more purple flowers...)
