More than Words January Challenge

There is a new blog challenge since January, if you've not heard about it, now is the time to head over and have alook at the great challenge and beautiful work from the Design team at More Than Words   January's challenge is about: Personality & Selfie... What a great challenge to start off the year.   I chose a picture of me running in Florida in 2014. I've had to stop running in 2015 because of a foot injury that is still haunting me, but really hope that I'll be able to start running again in 2016....   About my personality, well...I am quite a go and be Happy type of girl. Why be like others when you can be unique I say... I am quite lucky and blessed with a wonderful family and quite happy with my life. Now if I could only have more crafty time, I'd be even happier...

It's always an honnor to be asked to be a special investigator by the CSI team.   The first challenge of the month is a beautiful vintage clockwork piece. Looking at it I was inspired to use one of the pictures fro our trip to Boston in 2014.   Here are my boys and hubby in none other that the famous Quincy Market. Have you ever been? It's an amazing market and the seafood soup is just AMAZING !

November Most Wanted on CSI

Too funny, It's fun when a page you didn't like gets chosen as part of the most wanted of the month over at CSI. At times I think we are our worst critics.   Here is my page, looking at it again, It's ok, but still not my favorite... tehee..

Cuts2Luv December challenge

Another fantastic moodboard for Cuts2Luv this month.   Here is my page for this challenge:   My inspiration: Sketch, handmade ornaments are the crochet heart and flowers made by my friend Joe's mom and lastly the deer.  

 

My badge is a bit hidden at the bottom of the page, but here is a closer look. It's one of the badges from the very first collection.. guess it's about time I used it. teehee...

With Christmas around the corner, I especially miss my dad, he passed away almost 3 years ago now. He was taken way too young. Love this picture of him with the boys and especially Gabriel's grin... Just too funny, I just had to use this picrture.

 

 

Can't believe how much the boys have changed since this picture was taken. Wish I could turn back time.. Have a great week everyone...  

Christmas cards

Wow, it's been life years since I've taken the time to make my own Christmas cards. I was going thru my stash and found tons of old Christmas papers & ornaments and just felt I needed to dive into them.   So here are a few of my cards for 2016. The Deer are pre-cut glitter by Toga that I purchased as a lot.  

It was fun using the same items and just creating different looks for each card. So are you making your own cards this year?

 

Snow Happy

Oh yes, another ski page. I have to say that with teen boys, it's getting harder to get pictures. They just hate it, so I have to take opportunities like outings to get a few pics. This one is another picture taken during a ski session at Mount Orford last January.   The challenge for this page was to color the modeling paste. On my part, I sed my Lindy's Stamp gang Magicals to color my light molding paste.   I also played with my Distress inks to create a soft background with a numbers stencil.  

  So do you color your modeling paste? If yes, what is your preferd medium to use?
