Cuts2Luv April Challenge with photos from Eric Vidal

Time for another beautiful moodboard challenge with Cuts2Luv   Recently we had a photoshoot at the office and the profits were going to a charity that we support Centraide. Our photographer was a friend of mine Eric Vidal. He did a wonderful session for many employees and I truly love my new pictures. This is a recent passion for him, and if you want to see his beautiful work, I invite you to check out his website: Eric Vidal    For my challenge, I decided to use: 1-Sketch 2-Rain drops (on one of my papers) 3-Flowers and last but not least 2 Cuts2Luv Badges.

Love you

I have had this picture for 2 years now. It's one of my dad and myself, taken during his last few days at the hospital. Hard to believe that it has already been two years. I miss him alot, I was a true Daddy's girl. Lucky for me, we had the chance to spend alot of time together before he passed away.   I wanted a page that had debth, it kinda makes me feel that I was able toput on paper the debth of my love for my Dad. This LoveYou wood veneer was perfect, because even if we spoke french at home, we often said Love you instead of Je t'aime. I knew this was the perfect title for this page. The mixed-media background was created by using Golden Acrylique Glaze, my favorite new product of the last few weeks. I am just so happy about how it turned out.  

  Did I have fun doing this page? Oh yes, here are my blue fingers to prove it:

Inspiration Wednesdays- Week 7

Colors Colors Colors... Have you noticed that my Inspiration Wednesday tend to be on the turquoise side? Oh what can I say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE my turquoise...   Donna had a fabulous floral print for her page this time, but since I am not a very floral style gal, I had nothing remotly close to that in my stock. Since I am trying to use up my stock, I found this beautiful paper that just felt perfect. Yes it has turquoise, but love the orange and bright green inside as well.  

 

I had this stencil quote that I have just been waiting to use, and it was the perfect size for my journal.

Challenge YOUrself: Around Here

So it's Challenge time over at Challenge YOUrself. And this time, we want to see what's around here, what are some of your daily blessings, have you ever recorded them? Now is a good time to do so.   I created my page as a journal style.  

 

So what are my daily tasks:

 

No 1 on my list is to tell my husband and my kids how much I love them.

No 2, my morning coffee, It is almost a religion. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my coffee

No 3, I try to laugh everyday, laughter is like a drug, it makes you feel good.

Inspiration Wednesday-Week 6

Again, Donna came up with a very different concept for her inspiration Wednesday video. At first I wasn't certain that I would like it, but now, I am considering to make this into a canvas for my kitchen. I love the bright colors of this turquoise.  

 

It was a double insert page, so I had fun including a fun quote that I just purchased from Impression Obsession stamps.

Étape #11: On visite le Japon

Nous voilà maintenant au pays du soleil levant avec Kaori Wanatabe connue sur la toile sous son pseudo Chelsea.   Le défi est un scraplift d'une page de Kaori   Voici ma page pour ce défi, j'avoue que lorsque j'ai vue la page de Kaori, j'avais les photos parfaite.   Les photos sont celles de mon frère, qui est né avec le spina bifida, il a passé les premiers mois de sa vie à l'hôpital et ça fait très longtemps que je voulais faire une page souvenir de ces photos.  

 

Notre beau Conrad Junior... Je crois qu'il avait 1 mois sur cette photo. Vous voyez les bandages? et oui, pauvre petit a subi plusieurs opérations à la naissance.

 

 

Le voici dans le bras de ma mère. Je ne peux qu'imaginer comment ce fut difficile pour eux de passer autant de temps à l'hôpital ces permiers mois de vie.

 

Aujourd'hui, en ce 27 mars, c'est sa fête. Il est décédé à l'âge de 12 ans. Il aurait eu 39 ans aujourd'hui. Nous avons été béni de l'avoir dans notre vie. Il était un vrai rayon de soleil, toujours souriant et serviable. Il me manque tant...

Miss you Dad

I can't believe it has been already 2 years since you've been gone. In some ways it feesl like yesterday and sometimes I feel like you are still here with us and that I will wake up to this only being a bad dream. What can I say, I am a Daddy's girl, and I miss you so much.   It has taken me all this time, to be able to make a page out of one of our last moments together. This walk with the kids and Maya during your last visit at my house. What a beautiful day it was and we were so lucky to have you with us for one last family meal. This was taken maybe 1 week before you decided to stop fighting your cancer and let go.   This title card was perfect, because having theses last moments with you truly were gifts. I am happy that we were able to spend so much time together in those last days, not everyone gets that chance.

  But still, I miss you, and think of you often. I wish you were still here, you'd be so proud of the boys and how much they have grown over the last 2 years.  I am certain you'd have fun taking them out for driving practice and seeing how wonderful young men they are becoming. I know you are here with us in spirit and watch over us, but it's not the same... I miss you so.... Know I will always love you.
